Dr. Susan Hirsh Prager, Ph.D.
Dr. Prager is a Clinical psychologist who received her Masters in Psychology and her Doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University in 1987. Her training in both areas of psychology qualified her to work with both adults and children, and Dr. Prager has had extensive experience with both populations during her years of practice. She has also worked in both inpatient and outpatient Eating Disorders programs, as well as directed the Valley Hospital’s Employee Assistance Program for seven years.
Dr. Prager is a warm, sensitive, and compassionate therapist who believes that people can greatly benefit from a supportive and safe therapeutic environment. She helps patients to open up about their internal struggles and feelings, and then to work through their conflicts, improve upon any ineffective coping strategies they may have, and begin to view themselves from a more positive and strength-based perspective. Dr. Prager also works with children by using play-therapy techniques, and tries to help them to improve their self-esteem, their relationships with their family members, and their academic and social functioning.
Dr. Prager has been in private practice in Wayne, New Jersey for twenty years. She has recently joined Dr. Sandi Reiken and Associates, as she was interested in becoming a part of a dynamic and varied group practice.
