Richard DiStaulo, LCSW, LCADC
Richard DiStaulo, LCSW, LCADC, received his diploma in humanities from Seton
Hall University in 1961. Four years later, he completed his theological training at Darlington Seminary in Mahwah, New Jersey. As a Clergyman, he continued studying
at Pastoral Counseling at Seton Hall University and for five years served as Pastor to
the RC community in Livingston, New Jersey. He also served as RC Chaplain at
St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.
In 1970, Mr. DiStaulo began a new career at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York, where he counseled returning Viet Nam Veterans and others in a Methadone Clinic. He continued his education at Fordham University and received a Masters Degree in Social Work in 1973.
Beginning in 1973, Mr. DiStaulo served for fifteen years as Administrative Director of Chemical Dependency Services at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey. He developed an Inpatient Medical Unit, an Outpatient Program, and eventually a Residential Rehabilitation Program for persons suffering from substance abuse.
In recent years, Mr. DiStaulo has worked in the Mental Health field as Coordinator of the MICA Program at Greystone Park, a NJ State Psychiatric facility, and as Director of Social Services at Meadowview Psychiatric Hospital in Secaucus, New Jersey. Presently, Mr. DiStaulo is working at Morristown Memorial Hospital as a Clinician in the Intensive Outpatient Program assisting patients with Mental Health problems.
Mr. DiStaulo holds New Jersey Licenses as a Clinical Social Worker and as an Alcohol and Drug Specialist. He resides with his spouse of thirty-three years in Morris County where they have raised two sons.
